Range Instruction:

PLEASE SIGN UP FOR RANGE AT LEAST 2-3 MONTHS BEFORE YOU WISH TO GET YOUR LICENSE.

You can take the classroom and range portion during the same month, or you may take range after you take the classroom portion. You may NOT take range before the class.

Please only sign up for Range when you are ready to drive with an instructor. You will drive with an instructor within 6 weeks and will test shortly after that. Your road test is only good for one year. Please get your license within one year of your road test date in order to avoid having to re-test at the DLD. You CANNOT retest at LP if your test expires.

You should have at least 20 hours of practice behind the wheel with a parent before taking Range. Without enough practice, you are not likely to pass your road test.

It is NOT recommended that you take the class and range the same month as the time commitment is pretty heavy if you do both.
Be sure to sign up for a range held at least 2 months before the month when you wish to get your license. Range is held for 4 days for 2 hours a day. You will sign up for a 2-hour session (see Range sign up form for specific times).
